1. Constant rude staring/ obvious glaring from strangers
2. Screaming out of control kids where the parents don't say anything
3. Strangers that never say "HELLO" back when I smile or greet them.
People have staring problems and they want to make it known they do not like you, that is the main annoyance.

I can't stand it when people don't use their signal when they change lanes or make a turn. It's okay if there is enough space behind you and the person behind you. But if they are only a car away, a courteous thing to do is to let them know that you are turning...or else they think you are braking for no reason at all.
I also have a hard time sticking around people with foul odors. It's really distinct too. When they leave, the smell lingers in the air for a while. It gets me every time.
I understand what you mean. The little girl doesn't really know any better. To be blamed for something that was "out of her hand" would only confuse her. It also doesn't build a good relationship with the mother if she blames her for every indirect thing.
Ever heard of Piaget's theory? Children have different sensorimotor stages. Children begin to understand spatial reasoning, intangible ideas (like justice, freedom), object resonance and other concepts at different ages. The mother definitely is not taking into account her child's development. In fact, she is reinforcing her behavior negatively.
Great question.

Lately I've noticed that when there's two or three people walking on a sidewalk and they're taking up the whole sidewalk they won't move over at all, so that someone meeting them on the sidewalk can actually stay on it and not have to get down in the street for them.
My second pet peeve is when a person parks their shopping cart in the middle of one side of an aisle and then they stand in the middle of the other side of the aisle, effectively blocking the entire aisle, so that no one else can get through.

You're right. Unfortunately, we tend to be selfish and parents teach more with their own example rather than with words.
For instance, my neighbor is really kind and loving with his two buys, but when it is about fixing things in the department buildings we live in, he's the rudest and horrible person. He yells at people, insults and basically walks away, taking the children's hands.
I wonder - how are the children expected to behave when they see their father do all these?
I basically think we need to know how to live together. Respect and love (caring for others and our surroundings), I think, is where the foundation of these situations is.
Take good care and be patient!

It's frustrating, isn't it? I live in a town were drivers in cars stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. (Makes sense, doesn't it? Otherwise, what is the whole point of having a crosswalk in the first place!!)
In a town that borders us (where I used to live for 12 years), any pedestrians in a crosswalk are fair game. Even worse, if you stop to give a pedestrian the right of way, cars behind you will blare their horns!! It's a small town, not a major city.
So, this is my pet peeve. Why are people so mean when they get in their cars?

Mommy feels it when her little girl cries, but who will teach the girl to be ready and wary when getting out of the car if not momma? Cruel to be kind in the right measure.

People who talk so loudly on their cell phone that you might as well be in the conversation. Another one that baffles me is the Hispanic nationalists that bring their two year olds to walmart at bar time. Responsible parenting?

That ***** does not need a child. There is so much of this kind of thing out there. I don't know if there is more of it or more people so we see it more. I hate it when children are hurt physically or emotionally
