I don't know about getting rid of them, but the following helps with my cramps or when I'm having cyst issues:

take 600 mg ibuprofen, drink lots of water, and also use a heating pad (not on high, just warm) on your lower stomach. It helps me when I'm having major cyst/pains.

Good luck.

I try to get as much calcium in my system as I can (as you are only replacing the calcium that you are losing). I eat ice cream, yogurt, drink milkshakes...strangely enough, it seems as if my body craves those types of food when it's time for my cycle too. I used to take 6-8 calcium pills (available at the grocery store/drug store in the pharmacy section near the vitamins) and they worked WONDERS on my cramps.

My cramps got worse once I had kids. Now I take 2 Alleve tablets and I feel GREAT! I'll still eat my dairy (mainly ice cream!) but along with my Alleve. I also use a heating pad occasionally on my stomach and/or back and drink chamomile tea.

Try Midol. If that doesn't help, and you are talking about the kind of cramps that are so bad they leave you bedridden, see an ob-gyn. Some women only get relief from this by being on a low-dose birth control pill.

I eat a cup of Activia(that new yogurt 4 woman) a day and when my period comes on the cramps isnt as bad, Midol, a warm bath, and rest usually help me.

If you are having truly severe cramps...have you spoken to your gyn lately?

Sometimes cramps that are over the top can signal other issues. Better to be safe. Your gyn will also have advice based upon personal experience with you about how to best address this issue.

Take any medicine that's for pain.
My friend says Midol is the best because it gets rid of everything that comes with your period except your peridos itself.
:D
so take some and be strong!
cuz yeah who doesn't hate those freaking cramps!

try chamomile tea...it tastes good, its natural no chemicals, and it works great really try it..let me know if it works. you can buy it at any grocery store they come in little tea bag packages for like $2.00. P.s dont eat chocolate it gives you more cramps, don't drink anything with caffeine, or any junk food, eat vegetables and no greasy food. Eat yogurt through out the months so you get less cramps :)

take 800 mg of motrin and stay away from any sugar (pop, candy, like that). sugar makes the cramps worse. seriously. i always take 4 mortins and it seems to do wonders. i dont know, tylonol never worked , neither did heating pads or midol.

Hot, soapy baths with a mug of hot chocolate
Hot water bottle on your stomach in bed..
Ice pack sometimes helps, as this 'numbs' the pain, but don't do this if you don't know what you're doing.
Stay busy - go to work or do something you enjoy - takes your mind off it as bit.
