The Democrats don't have the power to bring the troops home. That is the decision of the commander in chief. The only thing the Democrats can do is remove funding, which would kill many of our troops and shove us into World War III. They would never do it because they would get recalled by their constituents. No backbones whatsoever.

They will not bring the troops home unless they win the presidency and keep the House and add seats in the Senate.

They have no idea what happened in the election. Conservatives walked on the Republicans.

The Democrats know that they cannot actively defund the war because Americans do not want that. We want the job finished. This is not a Vietnam. Every time the Democrats put something out there that will make it harder to fight, the conservative media blasts it all over the place. They then whimper away like a beat dog.

Note that they have not done anything productive. They have passed meaningless resolutions, had numerous Bush bashing hearings, and shown how inept that they are

I dont think any demcrate president that come after Bush can just pull back just like that . But an democrat president can open the door for nations that Bush hated to contribute troops to ease USAs burden in Iraq. Countrys like France and Germany alongside with other nations. It takes a few sconds to bomb a house so it doesnt exist but it takes months maybe years you rebuild the house again. That will be the same with cleaning up the mess after Bush .

The people haven't spoken, to leave that is! As for the Democrats they don't have a plan to solve the problem in Iraq.
Running away & being preceived as a Coward is not a solution!

I'm still waiting for the troops to come home too. A few Democrats need to get real, and keep the promises they made to us.

The dems with their marginal majority can't get enuff votes among themselves to pass anything with any teeth in it. Besides, they need Bush and the Republicans and the war to have something to shriek and complain about and blame for everything. That is how they fool all the left wingers into voting for them. Now they will go on with crime as usual in the misgovernment all the while, whining piteously about how the evil Rebooblicans are stopping them from doing what the nations liberal fringe so desperately wants. We-need-more-money-to-defeat-the-neocons (sob)!!

The Senate can't get a majority to vote to cut funding let alone discuss it without a majority 2/3's vote. That would include someof the dumba**es in the GOP who are more for supporting Bush's policies than supporting the troops.

You guys must be the first in history to schedule a war on your blackberries. Give the enemy 6 months' notice of our attack and then give them similar notice of the "end" of the war. How convenient! So, how about Starbucks, 10am, next Tuesday? ...
