the GT2 is the true true supercar of the 911 line. I would not be surprised if the GT2 ends up just as fast as the carrera GT. The turbo may accelerate to 60 as fast as or faster than the GT2, but the GT2 will be a much faster car (its lighter, and the turbo has AWD, giving it an advantage). the new GT2 will pretty much romp on all of the other cars in and above its price range (all of the lamborghinis, all current production ferraris, etc etc).
the turbo and GT3 cost about the same, but have a different purpose. the GT3 is the track oriented, naturally aspirated car. The turbo is the heavier, AWD, turbocharged 911, designed more of as a street car (but still WICKEDLY fast and capable on the track). the GT3 has more performance per horsepower, but the turbo has more HP. theyre about the same speed (maybe not in a straight line, but on a track, where they were designed for).
GT2 is the name of a class at lemans. It was named like that during the 993 model range (2 gens ago), but it was the top of the line, so they kept that name.
the GT3 got the name for being after the GT2 (in speed). awkwardly, the GT3 RSR races in the GT2 class of lemans now.
the carrera GT is significantly faster than the turbo and GT3. They wont be mad anyways. its an older car, and was built as a super high end supercar, not as a 911 competitor.
and those spyshots are from autobild. theyre just worthless photoshops. autobild is filled with them. such a terrible magazine.
and the new 911 came out in 05 actually... its been around several years now.
hope i answered all the questions you had. If you have more, just keep asking and ill be happy to answer.

The GT2 is a twin-turbocharged beast, with a load of power, and is rear wheel drive.
The 911 turbo is not as powerful as the GT2, plus it's AWD, which makes it heaver, and slower. The 911 turbo is also fancier than the GT2.
The GT3 however is an absolutely amazing machine. Naturally aspirated (no turbos), no frills, nothing fancy, just in your face power and excitement. The GT3 is a GT race car for the streets. It really is an amazing AMAZING car. Of the the 3, i'd take a GT3 anyday.
The Carrera GT is in a class by itself. It is a high end, excedingly rare, highly refined supercar.

The best Porsche is the Porsche that you plan to keep for 15 years+. Let's face it next year model will always be better it like the Intel x86 processor. So why throw all that hard earned money just to keep up with the Jones?
My best and only advise is to stay with your one car, use the extra money to buy a very nice set of tools i.e. Snap on and a set of workshop manuals.
Learn how to work on these nice machines.
With the help of a retired Porsche mechanic from Germany I have learned how to change clutch, exhaust, brakes, rotors, fuel pump, A/C, dashboard meters, paint 911 wheels, and currently working on replacing head gasket.
You really appreciate your Porsche 100 times more when you know that you are the driver, the mechanic, and the caretaker.

The 911 Turbo is AWD but has the fastest acceleration of any Porsche to date at 3.4-3.6 sec (depending on source) with Tiptronic, but I'd take the GT3. RWD, no "just for comfort" features, and it is a total track car. If I could have 1 car, the GT3 would be it.

GT3 does not come with radio, leather, power seats, heated seats, bluetooth, or any of the luxurious features that the Turbo comes with. It also has a much stiffer ride. It is not meant for everyday use like the more powerful Turbo S. Also, the GT3 does not come with Turbocharges, making the price much cheaper.

GREAT POINT! Im going to tell you a secret. Have you ever noticed most people dont keep a car over 5years or so because everybody wants to drive something new and nice.its about keeping up or having the newest car. You buy a car and in a couple of years the same car is reworked and looks better drives faster and has more features and guess what you trade in your car for it. The automotive big wigs are pretty smart because they have our money.
