If you want to hear the craziest soloing ever, you have to check out Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen....the best guitarists in the world.....and since no one has mentioned it yet, Stairway to Heaven.

No one else is going to, so I'm going to nominate D. Boon of the Minutemen. Good examples are the solos from "99", "Political Song For Michael Jackson To Sing" and "Glory of Man", but there are many others too. D. didn't need several minutes to do a great solo, he could contain it in a few seconds and still be better than all but a very few guitar players.

Or you could go easy - Dave Lee Roth's Eat 'Em and Smile, Ladies' Nite in Buffalo by Steve Vai.

zakk wyldes black label society - in this river

megadeth - angry again, a tout le monde

metallica - one, fade to black, master of puppets
i know those are their popular songs but they have great solos

trivium - a gunshot to the head of trepidation

avenged sevenfold - mia, sidewinder (acoustic flamenco at the end), and i could go on forever with their solos. all of their stuff is amazing to me. so just check out all their stuff.
