I cant write my files to cd,?

Question

I am trying to copy my photos to cd, keep getting message
please insert a cd, even when cd is inserted. I am using
cd writing wizard. My cds are all new, this problem has recently occured, as I never had this problem before.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Try right clicking the folder you want to copy and say send to whatever drive your cd is in and then you will see files that are been sent after which a little message will appear on your task bar saying you have files waiting to be witten to cd. Click on it and a new window will appear with the files waiting to be written . Click on write these files to cd. That should do it. I was having same problem and that solved it. Good luck.

If the technique you have used in the past is no longer working, I would bet that it's a hardware issue. If your CD burner is suddenly making frisbees or not burning at all, then you most likely need a new CD or DVD drive installed.

Don't pay too much. You should be able to find a DVD/CD burner online for about $30-$35.

I have two burners, a Samsung and a Dell. Both require that you use CD/RWs and they must be formatted with their software before a CD/RW can be used like a "floppy."

Check the User's Guide.

After saving files to a CD/RW, I gave up on it when flashdrives became available. They hold so much more, easily transportable, and have come way down in price.

Try going to word and copy and paste it to the new document. Try saving it from there. Sometimes it works for me that way.
