This movie didn't change my point of view, since I already knew about Global Warming in the first place. I am glad that he made the film- hopefully it will enlighten people.
The film isn't meant to depress you, just remind you of the fragility of the planet and that we need to consider our actions as stewards of it.

Gore's movie changed my point of view alright. Before I saw it I thought he had at least an iota of sense.
Global warming (and note how the preferred term now seems to be 'climate change' - WHATEVER happens, the bases are covered) is a fact. The globe has been warming and cooling in cycles for billions of years, and that too is a fact. Humanity's contribution to global warming is, however, open to question. When the glaciers melted 10,000 years ago the global temp was warmer than it is now; where were the SUVs and fossil fuel-fired powerplants back then? Mars is warming at about the same rate the Earth is; where are the SUVs and fossil fuel-fired powerplants on that planet?

You are way too susceptible to liberal propaganda. Gore's movie is just that a movie. What he proposes has no more basis in fact than a Harry Potter film. Use your brain the planets climate has changed many times in the past without any contribution from man, why would any thinking person believe this is any different. Besides why is it always assumed that a warming climate is a bad thing. Man will adapt life will go on things will get better

Not really, I knew about most of it already, but the movie did convince me that it was worse then I had originally thought. I knew most of it, but I didn't make some of the more subtle connections.
Nice to see someone with an open mind every now and then!
And to the idiots above me, could you accually produce one peer edited, recent, reliable scientific study that said Global warming did not exist? Since there have not been any (recorded fact) I'm going to presume No.

Yes I always seek out the views of loosing politicians when looking for scientific facts. I also let my plumber do my dentistry and my mechanic performs my surgeries.

A movie like that can only depress you if you believe the crap he's expousing. There's just too many scientists who say that his theories are bovine excrement for anyone with an IQ over 50 to buy into it. He's looking for a backdoor into the White House.

I am a very conservative member of this board (see all of my postings to date), but I will maintain that Al Gore's environmental viewpoints have merit, as much as I hate him as a weak politician. I will take what I learned from his movie and what I researched to be scientifically valid (which much of it is) and I will do my best to live that message, though I detest of Gore's hypocrisy in his carbon-maniacal lifestyle.

I found his movie as thoughtful and provacitive.
Global Warming is a theory, and it is very possible. Sooner or later all the pollution in the atmosphere will catch up with humanity.
