I've heard that Queen Elizabeth wrote some of the plays credited as Shakespeare's, because there was no way that Shakespeare was so well traveled as settings the plays took place in.

first of all, shakespeare didn't even write his own plays, he was only an actor. You can check that probably on wikipedia.
