I just wondering how to persuaded my counselor on letting me having AP class despite that I fall short of their expectation. How can I make them believe that I can do it and give me a chance to do it.

PS: I know my high school counselor follow the rule, but how could I talk to her on doing this?

Ask her to let you take it on a trial basis. If you are doing badly after one grading period, you can transfer out. Anyone who wants to try the challenge of an AP class should get the chance.
Also, ask a teacher to recommend you.

Do your grades not meet the requirements? Have you tried simply asking the AP teacher if he will let you take the class? Try asking the teacher about it. Tell him or her, you have an interest in that particular class, and that you realize perhaps your grades are not that good, but that you would like a chance to take that class. Also say that you are willing to work extra hard because you really want that class. At my school, if you faught hard enough for something you could usually get it.
