It could be another device interfering such as a wireless phone or any number of things interfering. Try restarting first thing. Next try changing the channel that your wireless network is running on. Also try relocating any other devices that may cause EM interference. And I hate to even go here but it could be a temporary environmental issue related to things such as static in the environment or humidity or density... Unfortunatly with antyhing that involves sending waves over a distance can be affected by any number or things:(

It could be getting interference from a wireless phone, microwave or any number of RF producing devices.
If you are living in an Apartment it might even be a neighbors appliance causing the interference.
Another item that could cause this is another wireless router in your area set to the same channel as yours. In the states there are 11 channels used for WIFI signals. All but 3 channels have overlapping frequencies. Most routers default to channel 6, so try setting your routers channel to 1 or 11 to try and get away from a possible interfering router.
If you dowload a program like netstumbler it will find all the routers in your area and display what channels they are using so you can set yours for something else.

at the same time as i look on the prompt connections from my computer, many of the networks that look in my list have protection keys that are required to attach to them. i do not imagine this has some thing to do with how your prompt connection settings are, yet particularly how the man admins of the corresponding networks set up their router and connection. case in point, you may create your human being residence/workplace community that you'll be able to set a protection key for therefore as that others can't get correct of entry to it from elsewhere without it. after I once went to an information superhighway cafe at Starbucks, particularly than coping with the protection key issue, I had to hitch up for a wifi hotspot plan by T-cellular. I chosen the most inexpensive plan i might want to (first 24 hours loose, pay as you bypass for $a million/10min. or $6/hr after that). you may basically want to relocate to an section the position you may %. up a community that would not require a community key to get correct of entry to it. i am hoping this helps. sturdy success.

That could be an electromagnetic interference issue...make sure the router is 2ft away from any device w/ magnet, cellphone, cordless phone or lamp.
Try accessing the interface of your router & change the wireless channel.

Most likely interference from that cordless phone that you or your neighbor bought that uses the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum. It could also be that your neighbor also got WiFi and that you two are trying to use the same channel. Try changing channels to something other than the defaults (1,6, or 11).
I'm surprised that Yahoo answers didn't give you a couple of possible suggested answers for this when you tried to submit it... This question is being asked over and over again. Don't people ready the suggested answers or do you think your case is special or something.

Where is the router in your bedroom?
Is it near the floor?
Try raising it upto the roof or maybe you moved something like a dresser in the way.
Is there a bathroom between you and the router? Maybe the copper pipes are in the way.

How often do you have to reset it? Unfortunately, sometimes you do need to unplug and restart the routers.
I have the same situation, here at my home.. just one of those things.
