Interesting that the majority choices are limited to Americans! Other Countries produce actors too. I think that the question needs to be better defined. Do you mean classical actors? Richard Burton must be in there also ALEC Guinness, John Geilgud, Ralph Richardson, LAURENCE Olivier, et al
Film actors are a different breed because the techniques needed are different from the stage. Do you mean popular actors? modern? historical?
I notice that noone has mentioned women. What about Kate Hepburn, Ethel Barrymore, and the like. Please limit the choice!!

They don't make actors like they used to. There's some great actors still but try to compare them to actors from the 40's and 50's. Right now, I'd say, maybe, I like Nicholas Cage but not his latest movie, Ghost Rider. I don't know.
