its just another "Big Brother" tactic. Anyone else feel the same? Not many of my friends see my way of thinking, so I was just wondering.

When I say "Big Brother" I dont mean the tv programme. think about it, they monitoring every single thing you buy from their store. They know what you eating, drinking, wiping you bum with, what time of the month it is, etc etc and then they give you money off vouchers for things you never buy.

I think that it probably is another 'big brother' tactic, however there are so many now that I have decided it is better to use those systems for my own benefit as much as I can so I have a Tesco Credit Card which I only use in Tesco and pay off every month because I get more points by using that card. They may know what I buy every week but they have to pay for the information without getting additional interest from me into their already very large coffers... A bit convoluted thinking on my part, I know, but you did ask!

Tesco Clubcard is a tiny bit Big Brother, but mostly it's just another way of Tesco to suck in punters and get them hooked onto their crappy produce and high prices.
Yes, I do mean high prices. Once you take into account the poor quality of Tesco's "food", and the fact that you end up throwing away so much fruit and veg because it's inedible, then Tesco food is no cheaper than anywhere else.
I shop at Waitrose, where prices appear higher but the quality is so good that you don't throw anything away.

Is there a problem with them knowing what you purchase from the store? Doesnt worry me in the slightest - just keep sending the money vouchers now and again - they do come in handy.

tesco is one of the largest supermarket chains in the uk. if they monitored everything every one of their customers bought they would be here for all eternity.
i think perhaps you are being slightly paranoid abotu the big brother thing. im sure that tesco dont really pay much attention to what you wipr your bottom on.
i have a club card and it saves me a fortune on fuel when they have their offers on so im not complaining.
