I only know experienced realtors are going out of business. Besides, the only reason they say "boom after recession" is that's like saying "you always go up after you stop going down." Of course, that's why you stop the recession!
The signs are the real estate bust is only getting cranked up and it may be long and hard. It's not over yet.

The best time to join an industry is just as it is turning up from the bottom--when everyone thinks its dead and unglamorous.
We arent there yet. There are a lot of sidelined realtors out there who would love to jump back in the ring if things get better.
The bottom line is that the industry hasnt bottomed yet. It will be a while still. I'd stay away from real estate.
