No anti virus program will get 100% of everything. I use AVG Free and have never had any problems.It gives you updates about once a day at what ever time you choose and if it can't get rid of the problem it will isolate it so it can't do any harm to your system.You can get it free at www.filehippo.com

Mcafee has less problems then Norton does so I would say try Mcaffee .
