First. let me say that all preganacies are different. But, with all 3 of mine I didn't start showing until 5 and a half months. It seemed like I woke up one morning and all of a sudden was showing.

Well as you can see there isn't much of an average unless you count a 4 month window as "narrowing it down" LOL!! But it really depends. I am 5'4" and started out with a 26 1/2 inch waist and for the first 6 weeks of pregnancy didn't seem to grow much. I'm now 11 weeks and have grown 7 inches around the waist! It looks normal becuase some people have tummies that pooch out BUT I KNOW that I don't look normal becuase my tummy was flat! I think if people start measuring their waists more often you'd be able to really get an average, instead people go by that cliche pregnant look of a big round gut. For those who are bigger, it's more easily hidden, for those who are smaller it's more easily spotable.

It takes between 4 and 5 months for a pregnancy to start showing but I had a cousin once who didn't show for close to 7 months and then after that she hid it by wearing a jacket all the time and one day we went home and voila! A baby. Out of thin air. Her 2nd pregnancy was also the same, she didn't show until close to 6 and a half months, but then again, she's very small-bodied and her children are also smaller than average.

I didn't really start showing till 7 months pregnant. I'm at 36 weeks and it isn't till now that I've really popped (still have a belly button though...but not for long.) It all depends. I'm fairly thin so everyone thought I would show earlier on then my friends (who are also due around the same time) but I am carrying my little girl deep so I didn't show for a long time (but I did have bladder issues earlier on.)

By about 16 weeks you should notice your tummy starting to poke out a little. Depends though like someone else said on how big you are to begin with, and how many babies you've had. I'm guessing this is your first, in second pregnancies your tummy may show a little sooner.

I'm 6 months (24 weeks) and I just started showing, showing about 4 weeks ago. This is my first, which I think has a lot to do with it.

I think it all depends on how you're built. I'm short, average weight and didn't show till 4-5 months. I think it could be sooner if you're thinner. I had a friend who is short with average weight and didn't show till 5 months and she had twins. So, everyone is different.

Usually 4 months on up. Depends on "genetics". Some women can be 6 months and only look like they have gained a few pounds..all over...

It really depends on the person and how big you are to begin with, with my first son it wasn't until about 7 months that I started showing, but with my second it was about four months that it was really noticeable. I wasn't overweight to start with, but my kids were small and I never gained more than 25lbs. My sister, however is teeny, tiny and she starts showing about 2-3 months in.
