Why do we not require drug testing for people on welfare or unemployment?

because these people take drugs, therefore its a waste of time

Depending on the welfare program their is a test for drugs, which keeps many people on the streets in urban areas like New York City.
But, for those that do not, it is because they know if they did and it became illegal to give welfare and assistance to those that take illegal drugs, the streets would be overrun in urban areas.

Good question. I bet that there is a crack dealer lobby. If not then you know it is a race thing.
