North Bay, Ontario. Gary Bettman himself announced the winner after the Leafs-Habs game. I know because I was watching. North Bay receives $50,000 in arena renovations and $10,000 in local minor league hockey equipment, and will host a preseason hockey game between the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils. Cornwall, Ontario was the runner-up, while last year's runner up, Smithers, B.C., again finished in the top 5, but this time in fourth place. Noelville, Ontario took fifth place to make it three Ontario cities in the finals. Warner, Alberta took third place.
Last year, Salmon River, Nova Scotia, took first place. Hockeyville is sponsored by Kraft Canada.

North Bay, Ontario. They will host an NHL preseason game between the New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers in September. Cornwall, Ontario finished as the runner-up this year. CBC had NHL commissioner Gary Bettman officially unveil the winner via satellite from New York last night after the Leafs-Habs game, and it was North Bay.

We did i North Bay, Ontario Which is about 375 km north of Toronto. Population 54,000. The highway is almost 4 lanes all the way through from T.O. Yes we are thrilled to be part of it. NORTH BAY, ONTARIO IS HOCKEYVILLE 2007!
