While 85% [of troops in Iraq who were surveyed] said the U.S. mission is mainly “to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9-11 attacks,” 77% said they also believe the main or a major reason for the war was “to stop Saddam from protecting al Qaeda in Iraq.”

What really amazes me is that there are still people out there that still relates Iraq and 9/11 in one sentence. It's been proven time after time that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.In fact , most of the people who attacked us on 9/11 was from Saudia Arabia !!!!!, "OUR ALLIES" !!! so to speak. al Queda was hated by Sadam, and he wouldn't have anything to do with them.FACT.They are in Iraq now because we invaded an arab country.

Al Qaeda is in Iraq and the Majority of the Troops want to do this mission. You also forget that a LARGE segment of the Democrat Party also endorsed the war so the Lies as you incorrectly stated it were also bi-partisan. Hillary was one of the loudest voices in support from the left. Bill Clinton Supported regime change in Iraq also. Bush took Clintons policy and actually implemented it. Saddam Had No Role in the 9/11 attacks but he did support Al Qaeda by establishing ties to the Taliban in 1999 and providing intelligence and money to the regime in Kabul. Saddam also provided safe Haven after the fall of the Taliban. Your memory is rather selective.

I was led to believe the Democrats would stop the war. I guess no party has a monopoly on outright lies.

Maybe they know something you have not been told. They are there and you are here. I would say they most likely have better information than you.
