I was thinking just cleaning. I hear it usually pays quite a bit and my aussie is going into agility. I want all aluminum stuff and a storage place (anyone who has bought it knows it costs quite a bit).

What kind of kennels will hire to clean? I have tons of experience with dogs, cats, and small mammals.

As for stables....something I would also do....I don't have much experience with horses but i'm willing to learn fast.

Start by looking in your local telephone directory and writing an introductory letter to all the kennels within your travelling distance. Then give it a couple of days and either call them or pop in for an informal visit.

Either that or give them a call right away and dont worry with the letter stage!

You could also try your local vets as they may know of places who need help.

First to have to apply, if they have a position they will interview you, and well generally you need to be about 16 to 18 years old (liablity reasons for insurance), If its a stable they want you to have been around horses before, They generally want you to be able to drive a vehicle, they DONT pay well for dog kennels, some stables do pay pretty nicely, and you need experiance with animals, horses are big and can be dangerous if you dont know what your doing. its not a glamourous job. I vollenteered my time at 14 in a dog shelter, but couldnt do too much, I was hired after I graduated and was just a kennel cleaner for some time before they put me through classes to be a Investigator, and kennel manager. I had horses all my life and worked part time in a stable, That paid more than my regular job, but hard hard work.

Call the doggie daycares, veterinarians, animal shelters and boarding kennels in your area and ask if they are looking for someone to clean kennels and cages.

If you google the above places with your city...
"Doggie Daycares MyTown" you should get some hits.

Call people, meet people, volunteer until you find something that will pay.
