I just bought a new home and the neighbors yard is a junky mess, how can you see if they are in violation?

My new neighbors have a garbage and trash mess, it looks to be a possable health condition. How or who do you report this kind of thing in the state of Kentucky?Can you get somethings cleaned up for the betterment and health of our community?

you will have to go to your local code official to see if they are in violation of your town/county code

beware if the code goes out to your neighbors to inspect even though code official will not say who complained you bet they will look to you the new person on the block

This is more of an ethics problem because YOU are the new neighbors, not they. If you want to be a good new neighbor, get to know them and then offer to help them as in, "I'm going to the recycler's--can I take something along for you?" Otherwise you're just a troublemaking nosy idiot who should have bought a house in another location if you didn't like the place where this house sat. You got a bargain because of the neighborhood and now want to change the neighborhood in order to raise the value of your own home. Well, guess what? That makes you the newest piece of trash in town.

As far as you trying to start trouble being the new neighbor or the good neighbor offering to help them, causes a different reaction to each & every person. I have the neighbors with the garbage dump. One day you're nice, they're nice back. The next time you're hateful, they're hateful. You can be nice, they cuss you out or you're hateful, they're nice and make you feel bad. But truth be known, they could be saying or doing anything behind your back. There are still 3 sides to everything, his, your's & the truth. Who will the community believe?
