Detroit is has to be one of the favorites if not the favorite there is not doubt that they will be in the finals because there best competition in the east is Cleavland and Labran James has not found out yet how to lead a team and be the go to guy at the end of the game when it counts he just fades away in the last 2 minutes so the only real team Detroit will have to play is the team that comes out of the west which will be Dallas or Phoenix Detroit just destroyed Phoenix by 20 and Dallas is a one man team in Dirk and he never shows up when Dallas needs it just like he didn't last year but the teams that will play will be Detroit vs Dallas with Detroit winning/'/

Obviously Dallas. Even after the loss to GS and the Suns (which were more due to odds factors than lack of skill or heart as some weak bandwagon fans might try to play off) they are continuing to do great things. I mean come on the Suns just got their butts handed to them by Denver. Im not counting them out because they are a good team but Dallas does have the edge on them as well as San Antonio who just lost to Boston. As for the East as of now Im goin with Detroit for the simple fact theire leading their conference. Unless the heavens open up and God pronounces D Wade his long lost son sent to sacrifice his shoulder, and apparently walkin abilities soon after, to the NBA, Miami cant be carried on Diesel fumes alone. Lebron needs some serious help in Cleveland if theyre ever gonna fully live up to their potential so I count them out as well. Sorry kids but its my Mavs and Detroit in the finals

This years NBA finals will feature Dallas and Detroit, with the overmatched Pistons falling in 5 games. Cleveland doesn't have the inside presence or the confidence to survive a seven game series with Detroit or even Miami, and D-Wade's sore shoulder should make enough of a difference to make him containable, especially when he's locked down by Rip Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince. The Mavericks have a solid front court anchored by Dampier who is playing like a man possessed right now...hustling for every rebound, diving on the floor for every loose ball, blocking shots. They have the pure scorer in Nowitzki, the veteran leadership of Stackhouse, and the playoff experience of guys like Devean George and Austin Crosher. Those reasons, along with the emergence of Josh Howand and the clutch shooting of Jason Terry make them my favorite. And lets not forget about Avery Johnson, the general responsible for turning the Mavs from team that relied on scoring 200 points a game to win, to a solid, defensive minded, half-court championship team. The Mavericks are well put together and Mark Cuban deserves an NBA championship as a fine return on his investment.

Dallas and Miami!!!! Yes Miami, since Wade's injury for all you Shaq doubters Shaq has shown you why he is still the most dominant center in the game right now. He can defer the offense going through him and be a team player averaging around 18Pt's and 9rbs. Or run the offense through him and have him get 29Pt's and 10rbs and make every player around him better, even Wade. Remember Shaq got Orlando Magic to the finals in his early years and Afernee Hardaway looked like a great player along side Shaq. He also got several NBA finals with the Lakers and 3 rings. After the Lakers made a bad decisions and kept Kobe instead of Shaq, he's had 2 great years and another championship with Miami. Miami will get their, don't know if they will win it?

Detroit from the east, for they are the only team good in the east. It is a complete toss up in the west. MAv's are the fav's, but Suns just beat them, and they have the second best team. The Spurs know how to win, and I belive still have a great chance. Utah (in a slump now) plays almost perfect TEAM bball. any of those teams, plus you never know with the rockets who have Yao who I think could lead them through the playoffs, the lakers who have Kobe who can go off on any night, and the Nuggets who have two superstars who can go off at any time and they are playing good now. We will have to wait and see.

you're a touch previous due. The San Antonio Spurs beat the Cleveland Cavs in 4 video games to win the championship this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (very last week). if you're talking about next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (doesn't sound like it), it really is way too early to inform. communities are in simple terms now starting up to evaluate trades and %. their draft selections. you should ask this question in about a month or so after all the adjustments are made. no individual has a strong concept yet what is going to ensue.

well the eastern conference is down so my early candidates are the pistons, cavs, raptors and knicks. Many of you are like, knicks, what???but yes knicks because they have defeated lots of difficult teams and swept Detroit. Not Miami because of Wade's injury. The western conference is pretty easy to choose, mavs or suns.
my picks: mavs and pistons
