There are two kinds of spoofing. Email and web page. Email is where spoofers snatch graphics and layouts from sites like ebay, and then send you emails asking for your personal information. Web spoofing is where web pages try to get your info.

Hiding your real identity (really your PC's identity) when sending information on the WWW. You do this by making your information look like it was sent from another TCP/IP address. IE "spoofing" another address or information.
