My little sister is 14, and her name is Kayla. We've always called her Kay, or Kay Kay, and she's never minded, as far as I know. I love calling her Kay Kay even though it was something we started when she was a baby. But it's stuck, and I think it's cute, no matter how old she gets! Plus, you never grow out of nicknames with family and friends. My name is Erin, but when I was a baby, my older cousin couldn't say "r" so she called me Ewin, and the name just stuck. I'm 18, but it doesn't bother me, even though half of my mom's family calls me that. So I'd go with Kay Kay for sure!

I don't think it has to have any part of Kayla, many people have a nickname that only has to do with their personality. If she is outgoing why not use "Sunshine" or "la Sun".

Well I think a name his a name. I gave my son is name Nathan, not Nate, Natey, or Nay Nay. If you want to be called something different change your name. Nicknames are just things people fall into. If you want to call someone something else it is usually for a reason.
Like when i was in school this silly boy called me Robin-da-bank, only he did.
We called a kid Ebby causes his last name was Eberheart.

you could call her kay. or something she does or like call here that. i know agirl named kayla and she loves muffins so thats what we call her muffins. a nickname is a name that fits that person her personality or some thing about her so you decide
