First and most obvious, if you don't have insurance...why was your boyfriend driving your car????

Second, does your boyfriend have his own car insurance? If he does, file the claim there.

Third....why did your boyfriend have a seizure? If he has a medical condition previously diagnosed and didn't take his meds then he's at fault and you're both on the hook for the damages. If this is a result of an undiagnosed medical condition and was later diagnosed as a result of the accident, it's called an Unexpected Medical Condition and he's fault free...

Pray! Get an attorney and hope that you aren't sued. If your boyfriend has a history of seizures, he should not be permitted to drive; if he has no history, you're probably (but not absolutely) not responsible. As owner of the vehicle, you may be held responsible for the damage to the other cars and their occupants, but since you have insurance (I hope), you are in the clear.

For Heaven's sake, never let him or anyone else operate your car without your presence or pemission. Especially if he or she has a history of seizures, heart problem, blacking out/fainting/dizzy spells, drinking or drugs or any other problem which may affect the ability of the driver to safely operate a vehicle...you get the picture.

1. Did your boyfriend have the required licence to drive the car?
2. Was your boyfriend insured to drive that car?

If either answer is no, your boyfriend is completely screwed. As the car was yours, you could be considered do-able for aiding and abetting him.

If the car was untaxed* or unMOTed**, then that's your fault, and you will probably be prosecuted for this seperately.

* A taxed car is deemed ready for the road in all respects by the law.
** The MOT test is the roadworthyness test in GB.

If you have anything of value, sell it before you get sued. You could have had the minimal at least.

I started out $59 a month and now it is $32.50 at state farm. I am scared s hitless to get in an accident and get sued.

If you skate out of this, your insurance will be higher and if in Texas, to drive you would BE REQUIRED to have the R22 insurance. It was not his fault that he had a siezure though. But then if you are smart do not let him drive ever. If you were to get married and have kids, you would trust him to drive. You better start doing some serious soul searching. This was only a warning or harbinger of things that might come to haunt you.

First of all people with seizure problems can't get a drivers license unless they got good record of not having non sorta like Dr. recommendations. So insurance or not looks like you are going to have to pay for 9 cars best bet file bankrupt.

I'll agree with the others get a lawyer. Normally you are resposible for the damage that is done by your car if you let someone else drive it.

I'd definitely seek out a good attorney. You should have had insurance, and whether or not you were there, you were the owner of the vehicle and some of those VICTIMS will come after you for compensation.

A lawyer will have to deal with the legal aspects of the case. You and your boyfriend need separate lawyers; your interests are different.
