Yes but in some ways it is helpful if the person on the other line is calling you in an emergency. Luckily the phones I have now will give you the number of the person who is beeping in (cause I have caller id) so if it's a telemarketing call I don't click over.

I personally rarely answer call waiting because I think it is incredibly rude. It is comparable to me telling one person, "Hold on, someone more important than you is calling." I let it beep and call them back or if I really need to talk to the person beeping in, I tell the one I'm speaking to that I will call them back.

not in the least. i run 2 businesses from a home base, and if i have two calls at the same time, i'll dump the second one and offer to call them right back. when people fail to do the same, only then it is both annoying and inconsiderate of the one receiving the calls. otherwise, i consider call-waiting a blessing.

Nah. I am patient and don't mind waiting. Although, when it came to my Mom, sometimes it made me feel less important to her. So, I guess, it can be annoying in some instances. I guess you'll have to explore the reasons why it makes you feel the way you feel.

I think the most rude thing is talking on the cell phone in a store or a checkout lane, or anywhere I have to listen to their stupid yammering. Take it outside if you are in public.

Yes. That's why I canceled it about 5 years ago. I figure if it's important enough they will call back.

I personally love it. But I also have caller ID, so I know if it's worth taking the other call
