I found this information in two different spots just to confirm cause I didn't believe it at first

A) The player who has been on the most Stanley Cup championships is Henri "The Pocket Rocket" Richard, of the Montreal Canadiens, with 11. Two other Canadiens players, Jean Beliveau and Yvan Cournoyer, are each on the Cup 10 times.

B)Has been won a record 24 times by the Montreal Canadiens and a record 11 times by Henri Richard of Montreal

Here's another number for ya:

C) Overall, no one's name appears on the Stanley Cup more than Jean Beliveau. He has 17: 10 as a player and 7 as management

Henri Richard won 11 Stanley Cups during his career, spent entirely with the Montreal Canadiens. Yvan Cournoyer has the second most Stanly Cup rings with 10, also entirely with the Habs. But it is Henri Richard with a record 11 Stanley Cup rings during his career.

Henri Richard of the Montreal Canadians with 11 cups in a 20 year carear. That's better than 50% of the time.

I can't believe people would say Wayne. He only won it in Edmonton. Most of his teammates won more times than him, as he was traded away, and Edmonton went on to win again.

Wayne Gretzky won it 4 times. The most from recent history is teammate Mark Messier with 6 times. 4 with Wayne, 1 after he left and 1 with the Rangers.

Obviously the answer is 11 for Henri Richard, as others have researched and stated.

From there I was wondering who has the most Cups other than those guys who played for the Canadians all their lives and through the Montreal dynasties? Someone who played and won cups with more than one team?

Messier was mentioned with 6 for Edmonton and New York. When Dick Duff went into the Hall of Fame last year they mentioned that he won 6 between Montreal and Toronto. But maybe its Red Kelly who won 4 with Detroit and 4 with Toronto. Not your question, but another interesting one.

In case it isn't already clear: Henri Richard did, indeed, win 11 Cups in 20 years. That's the record.

Gretzky? He only won four.

I don't know for sure but I always remember Jean Beliveau's name when it came to most championships. He played for the Canadiens.

most likely Gretzgey. He was on 3 teams (technically four, but he remained with that one team for only a month) and i think that between them he won 7 cups.

im not sure about that, but with his talent i find it hard to doubt
