how can u tell when a boy says," i love you" he means it?

ok, heres how it went: we were @ the dance friday and all week hes been wondering if i really love him, then he read something i wrote for him and then erased. so he wants to know. it said i love you but i wont tell him. he figures out thats what it said and wants me to say it. he comes behind me, rest his chin on my shoulder and wraps his arm around me and says, plz say it. i say then he whispers ilove you too very quickly, then lets go and says now was that so hard.

i cant figure out if he means it or if he just wanted me to feel better.
tthe facts: we've been together for 1 month 2 weeks
we're both 14
plz dont say ur too young, too immature or anything like that plz. i dont want to read it so just dont write it. thx for ur help

u guys havent gone out 4 2 long. my bf (im also 14) says he luvs me but doesnt make it a huge deal or anything. the word love is so over used, its hard 2 tell anymore. its like: "i luv my dog" "i luv my best friend" "i luv my mom" "i luv my boyfriend" c, its hard 2 tell. it sounds like he means it tho. id say it bak.

Well the way it sounds to me is he wanted to say it--he just wanted to hear you say it first.

is he trustworthy?
does he take the relationship seriously?
