I am writing a story and need to get inside the mind of a rapist for one of the characters so i want to ask can anyone give me some ideas of why a man would rape a woman...........all are welcome.

A man who has strong desire and forbidden by the society gets a suitable conditions to fulfill his suppressed desire may perform this heinous act , when his mental balance is upset due to his mental sickness or under influence of alcohol or drug. He must have lost his logical thinking power at the time of crime and trying to prove his superiority of physical power.

Either the person is deprived and sex starved because rape does not fulfill your sex desire or it is done for revenge to inflict the ultimate humiliation or shame to the victim.
