How can I take the tumbler out of a 1998 Saturn SC1? I Broke the key in the ignition. PLease Help.?

steering column must be disassembled this is a complex operation you will need to take it to a shop to have this done...

however that said there may be another remedy that will get the broken piece out without having the column disassembled...

Go to a top of the line auto tool dealer like MAC, Matco, Cornwell, or Snap On and get a good quality automotive pick..

they look sort of like a dentists dental pick but themetal is blackened from the hardening process...

spray a little WD-40 in the Tumbler and then try working the broken piece gently out...

but if this doesn't work you will have to go column diassembly route...

However this involves messing with the Air Bag System which is a definate thing you are not able to do

this can be very dangerous you can set off the Airbags without ene trying due to your (human) body's natural static electricity...
