England have have 3 great goalies.....Banks, Shilton and Seaman. All the better keepers in the English league are foreign, there are a few, Robinson probably the best out of them, James had a bit of a good run for Pompey, but as a Saints fan I cant really admit that, but he has had too many howlers and hairstyles to get back in the England team.

Foster is one of the most promising goalkeepers in the country, but the blunder he had in yesterday's game did not help his chances of overtaking Robinson as first choice keeper for England...
How ironic that it was Paul Robinson himself to score that incredible goal from nearly 90 metres...
I am sure Ben Foster will raise above that unfortunate event and push for an international cap very soon...

Foster as a great future and he will be the number one at Man u for a long time in the next couple of seasons.
This can only help to get him the England number 1 shirt in time.

I think that Chris Kirkland is one of the best English Keepers around at the minute.
If he was playing in a good team you will see how good a player he is.
Ben Foster is the player at the minute but once he goes back to Manchester United he wont get a game again with them unless he is sold.

If you say now then it should be Paul Robinson as he is number on in the England team. But if you want to talk about the propect goalies then I would say Scott Carson as he is the hero in Charlton now. Ben Foster would make number 2 then.

I like Chris Kertland from Wigan. The problem in England is in the youth. No one wants to be a kepeer. They put the crap kids in between the pipes. They all want striker or midfield. If they get good keeperes to stay with their position in the youth you may see improvements in the English goalkeeping.

I have been very impressed by Foster. He has done exceptionally well in a struggling team. I think he is better on crosses than Robinson and for this reason I would make him England number one.

come on. forget what happened yesterday...that was a freak incident.
foster is a superb keeper but so is robinson.......i don't think it matters who england keep as their constant number 1. its good for them to have competition between two great keepers like that.
foster will improve even more though...he'll be man u's first choice in the not too distant future when old man eddie van der sar leaves *sigh*.....hope he'll keep up eddie's standards.
