The question is a cryptic clue from a quiz, not a crossword. This one has me stumped. If you do a google search on london underground quiz, you will find some other examples of this type of question to show the mod. Note the question states a collection ON shells. Therefore the answer cannot be conchology. I note that someone has thought of Kensington and bloucester road on the picadilly line. however, I can't se the thought process or the logic behind the answer, so don't beleive it can be right. As an example, another clue was "Men with dark habbits" The answer is "Blackfriars" The clue leads to the answer with lateral thinkng.. Logically, so must this one, but I can't se it yet.

South Kensington or Gloucester Road on the Picadilly line

My logic - there is a shell collection at the National History Museum which is on the above lines.

I tried!!

Are we doing a crossword puzzle? If so, can you tell us how many letters? I have just spent the last five minutes looking at the tube map and can't for the life of me figure out which it could be!!!

The best I can come up with is: Arsenal.
Thinking of artillery "shells".

The "collection on shells" bit makes it a real noodle scratcher.
