When I go to open an email and it won't open, I get an error message reading: "Profile does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." How do I do this? I run Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Thank you so very much in advance for your help!!!

Make sure these messages are from friends you know..
if they aren't, they could easily be spam, or viruses, or more..

I see you said these emails were from friends and you know they are safe so first of all it's probably the attachment that cant open because they were created using a program on the other users computer that you dont have installed on your computer. If this is true, find out what program was used to create it and install it on yours. If you know you DO have the program but the file is not associated with that program then you can right click on the file and choose "open With" then choose "browse" a list will pop up with ALL programs listed. choose the program you want the file to open with and make sure you check the box that says "always open with this program" and you are in business.

If that email isn't from someone you know, just mark it as spam. If this happens with every email, I would contact your email provider & get them to walk you through the solution.
