I think if Garnett ended up in LA next season, the Lakers would be in position to give Phil Jackson 3 or 4 more championships. Your thoughts?

KG would give the Lakers precisely what they need: a dominating inside presence; a 2nd top-flight scorer; a leader in every sense, vocal and otherwise. And a consummate team player.

It's hard to imagine them not being a dominant force in the league. Kobe, Parker, Odom, Garnett, Bynum/Brown. Especially if they upgraded the PG position (no disrespect to Smush). Actually, any lineup with Kobe and KG would be devastating.

Both are young enough to make at least a 3-4 year run to at least the conference finals.

Kobe Bryant + Kevin Garnett= NBA Championship. Kobe and KG, especially Kobe, are 2 of the best players in the game. And since neither of their general managers are adding superstar players to their rosters, neither player has much to work with when competing for a title. But if they would combine the two, people would be saying, "Dallas Mavericks, who?" KG is the pefect match with the Lakers since they need a big man present in the paint at all times, something that Kwame and Bynum haven't been giving them. I've been a laker fan since forever, and i am holding on to a string of hope, that KG will join the Lakers roster and cause some damage in the western conference.

dont know who you would have to give up to get KG...youd need someone like walton to stay...plays good team ball and fundamentally sound...would also need a quality 1 guard that could help on defense but had some range to create spacing necessary to keep kobe and KG spaced to keep them effective...then of course you will need either brown or bynum to show progress because you dont want KG playing the post spot, keep him mismatched on the big forward with his speed and height...at best if it worked out they could possibly get a ring...to say 3 or 4 more would be wishful thinking...
