I'm looking for a band sounding like The Dandy Warhols...?

But not BJM! I can't stand them. They're too low-energy, which is completely different from the Warhols. I don't see how anyone could say they sound similiar, but that's not the point. What's a GOOD band who sound like the Dandy Warhols?

Sorry, but Brian Jonestown Massacre does indeed sound like the Dandy Warhols. If you haven't heard their album Take It From The Man, you should. The rest of their albums are not great, but Take It From The Man is excellent (and not low-energy).

Pulp or, maybe, The Format might be closer to what you are looking for, however. Also, a good idea might be to look into their influences like the Stones, Bowie and the Velvet Underground. The Pixies are worth checking out too; they don't sound anything like the Dandy Warhols, but the Dandys wrote a song about their bass player (Cool as Kim Deal).
