My heater fan just stopped working. If anyone knows any common problems, or past experience it would be of help. Where is it located. Good tips on replacing it?

Check fuse first, free repair boos at Auto Zone online, fan is under dash covered by air flow housing, a pain to get to.

My first thought is the heater control switch. I doubt that the fan motor itself is bad. If you know how to use a test light, you can find out how far the current is going. The test light is a screwdriver style probe with an ice pick point, a light bulb in the handle, and a long lead (wire) with an alligator clip at the end. To use it, simply attach the clip end to any UNPAINTED ground. Most of the metal in the car will work. Start by turning on the key and checking the fuses and working towards the fan. You do this by touching the tip to any place you think there is current. On the fuses there are two really small slits that allow you to check them. Be sure to check BOTH sides. You can get a cheap light at most auto parts stores. Hope this helps.

First, check your fuses. There is one on the inside fuse panel and one under the hood on the engine block. They are 30 amp, but they are special ones, so look in your owner's manual.

I replaced my fuses and it worked for a couple months. Then it crapped out totally. The fan sounded as if it had something stuck in it before it went.

I took it to a mechanic and it cost me under $200 to have it replaced. I'm sorry I can't help you with the replacement process...that's way beyond my realm of auto knowledge.

it may not be the fan, it could be the control switch to it, the switch is easier to change. first, try checking your fuses.
