It's exactly 9 hours and about 14 mins left until my Spring Break is over. I know I'll be on my way back to school tommorow, and be forced to listen over and over the great adventurous, exciting, and overly dramatical things that other people have done, went, experienced, or all of the above. The reason I am depressed, is that the only thing i've so done is stay at home, play World of Warcraft (and i'm not even in a active guild), play Final Fantasy X, and listen to Japanese Metal. I wanted to do things with friends, but I don't have the courage to call anyone, nor was invited or considered for anything they were doing...

How can I deal with it?

I suppose you watch too much TV and use the computer too much, Both these things are anti-social. People do not accidentally meet and socialize at the movies anymore, they rent a film and watch it at home. I suggest you try to join the YMCA, talk to your college adviser, and also get some psychologist to help you. Limit your time on the computer and TV, take walks, inhale deeply. With your spare time try helping out at an old age home, you'll feel like you really helped mankind. Try to think of others and it will help you with your own feelings of selfworth. Very important, cut out soft drinks, white rice, white flour as in bread, no sugar, rarely eat cookies or cakes, pies, use olive oil instead of butter, eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruit daily, keep a healthy weight. Drink lots of water. Be self disciplined and see what happens.

Well,In my opinion you could stop looking at all the things you didn't do and start being thankful you weren't invited to a party that ended up with close friends dead and you disfigured for life and sitting behind bars for vehicular homicide.
You know what I do when I am feeling life has past me by,I watch Cops and think about the fact that yeah I'm bored sitting around the house but it beats the hell out of sitting in a cell waiting for a meal.Take care and may GOD bless you.

Is there a Christian church in your area? Join it. They have programs for all ages and teach the love of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit dries the bones.

It is quite obvious from this scripture that our physiological wellness can be affected by victimization and by rejection by others.

You have a breach in your relationship between you and God.

Get a LIFE! The only way you can make something happen is you must get involved with others and find your comfort zone. Do not wait to be asked, and don't be shy because this is not the horse and buggy days!

Make up your own stories of having had fun. Be imaginative. There is no point in letting others score over you and leave you down in the dumps. I used to create fancy tales to relate to those braggers and kept my morale high. At least that made be more imaginative..........

After reading it ask yourself, "How many times have I used the word 'I' in thinking and talking about depression" focus on something or someone else, give to others and see how good it makes you feel.
