Aboslutely!
all it takes is training yourself to do so just like you trained yourself to be shy. here are some ways to train yourself to do so.
-say hi to a few people as you walk past them in high school, you may get some strange faces but whenever i do that some reactions i get at the corner of a street can be halarious especialy when waving at the same time and holding up a big sign that says "honk if you think..."
- care for others enough to communicate to them and consider that they may not think you want to talk to them and may cause them to feel unliked
- if their is a conversation jump in just make sure you realy do know what they are talking about
-start conversations yourself
-do things that not everyone would "normaly" do like shout out "moo" out of a window of a car, or mabe say the first thing that comes to mind when making your own lyrics to a children song outside the stranger the better.

I was like that freshmen year too, and middle school in the end i ended up realizing that if I'm quiet all the time i wont get any where or get recognized. I had the same grades and same achievements as this one girl yet she always got all of the recognition because she was outgoing. Now that I'm comfortable around a lot of people and talking so much life seems to go by easier. I mean there isn't anything wrong with being quiet but sometimes you just need to talk and get to know people more. In the end the transformation was a good one in my life, So yeah it is possible to change personalities i mean its not like you aren't the same person its just that now you are just interacting with more people.

Of course you can be a more talkable person. You should think about joining clubs or sports at your school. Because when you join more activities you can meet new people and make more friends. That will boost up your confidence level and it will probably be easier for you to talk to different people. Hope that sorta of help!!!! Good luck.

First of all, some girls like the quiet boys. Don't try too hard to talk more, because, since you're shy and uncomfortable it might come out all goofy. Just be your shy self for now, concentrate on school. Talk when you have something to say and get good grades. Don't start hanging out with the stoners when they ask you to join them for a smoke. Pick your friends carefully, you'll meet more friends that way, they'll like you or they won't (probably they will) Just take it slow.

I was kinda like that as a kid too.
What I did was regularly put myself in situations that pushed my comfort level.
I am still a little shy on the inside but nobody I know would use that as a description of who I am now.
You truly can be who you want to be with effort and a belief in yourself.

you cant necessarily change who you are, but just find someone who you know every well and who you arent shy around like AT ALL and act like they are the only person wwho can see you. and it also helps to try not to care what ppl think about you and just do what you wanna do
message me if you need more advice im really good in this subject

of course. honestly i used to be like that in high school. i am still like that today in college; however when i'm out i talk to others easily. to break through that wall of shyness and quietness you should first try to talk to your classmates sit next to you. start to know them. for example, pretend to ask them homework problem or something. start to get know small amount of people everyday. like one or two. then everyone in class would recognize you. also you can try to participate in school activities and clubs. be more active. it will help you on your social skills. try to help your classmates anyone around in school. everyone get to know in know time. good luck man it might be hard at first but it will all work out later. tell yourself your not shy.
