Good day. Can anyone tell me how can i solve handshaking problems with my modem? everytime i dial out and i do connect, the speed sometimes be fast and other times slows and i realise is some relation to the handshaking. I listen to it and it is not the same all the time and listening for a specific handshake i'll know i'll get the fastest speed. Any help? and thanks. Laterz.

I live outside the US and high speed is expensive at this time.

Ahw yea...good old Dialup! I was on it for years...thank God I'm off it now...
Anyways, there's nothing you can do about that...your ISP has a list of Dynamic connections it uses to connect you to the Internet...so each time you connect it's a different Number...
So if you want the fastest connection you will just have to keep doing what you're doing now...there is no Addon String that will help that...I know...I tried them all!!!
You can "try" this site and see if it helps you any...

But what helped me the most was CableNut (not just for cable) to adjust my Windows Registry Settings that are directly related to how and what you modem does via Windows.

After installing cablenut then go to this site for the setting to use with it...

Hope that helps you...did me...My ping (online gaming) went from 400+ to 220 (In the US in UR more like 90) & my download speed went from 4kbps to 8.

keep reducin the speed till you get a reliabe speed

Iy could pay you to get a new modem - that handles speeds and connections better - they are ver cheap so it's worth a go (get a V92 one)
