Or do they hibernate under dirt/leaves? Also, if a white tree frog habitated in you yard all summer, will it habitat in your yard the next year?

If I'm not mistaken I believe they hibernate under water, well they submerge themselves in the mud at the bottom of pond or lakes. Most amphibians don't have a very big home range so if they were to hibernate in one location one year, there is a good chance they will be in the same area the next year.

White tree frogs live in South America, Africa, and Asia so they do not need to hibernate.
