I have this annoying girl who thinks that I am her friend. I do not consider her my friend because she tells me what I can eat and can't eat. I told her bluntly that she is not going to tell me what to do and then I told her that I am going to Florida for vacation. She had the nerve to say that she will buy her plane ticket and come with me. I told her it is a family vacation for a reason. If I were going to invite friends then that is when you can come, but THIS IS A FAMILY VACATION. Then I was going to go to my uncle's 40th surprise b'day party and she said to me to tell her when they are going to have the party so that she can come. I said that this is my uncle, this is a family party. SHe is 20 years old and thinks that she is mature, but she is not. She is pest.

I'd be bothered by it.

Next time she interferes, stop her. Tell her that she doesn't get to have input in on your life. Tell her she's being pushy and you don't want to have anything to do with her anymore. Then walk away.

ok, so you are old enough to decide who your friends are, why ask Yahoo? Tell her to back off or you can't be friends anymore. Someone that needy needs help more than anything, she needs some counselling, not to hang onto people so tight that she becomes a pest.

Yes!! I would definitely be annoyed!! How is her family life? Maybe she feels the need to be at all of your family functions because she is trying to find a place to fit in. However, she needs to respect your boundaries!! Be honest and upfront with her in a gentle way.

I think that eventually she will get the message if you are not leading her on , or you can just tell her point blank that she has this annoying way about her and in order to remain friends, the two of you will have to talk about it.

Yes it would be annoying. Perhaps if you stopped sharing personal information with her or around her, she wouldn't have the opportunity to try to invite herself to events you are attending. In time she'll likely get bored and move on.

Tell her that you don't want to be her friend anymore. She sounds like a freak to me. No offense. I would tell her to butt out and that if she can't give you some time with your family that you can't see her anymore. I would cut her out of my life. She doesn't sound like a very good friend at all.

sounds like a stalker... I knew this girl from school who showed up at my house on thanksgiving, out of the blue. People like that have mental challeneges because they can't weigh out appropriate behviours from innapropriate behaviours.

Tell her to go away and you find her annoying. It's your life and she shouldn't be involved in it if you don't want her to be. Or tell her your moving far far away and are never coming back.

I know the type. My group has a girl who imitates all of us on a rotating basis. We just try to ignore her as much as we can. Next time she does something like this, just scream, "Look, ________, what do I have to say to convince you that I don't want you there?"
