Very unique It sounds like the name of a Doctor or lawyer , excuse the made up last name but I could see it Graysen "Baker" MD , Graysen "Baker" attorney. If She did not like it she could shorten it to "Grace".

Wow...it's really hurting MY feelings that all these people are downing the name Graysen...because Gray is my middle name! I never got picked on for it, although that's what all these people seem to think will happen. I think Graysen is a really cute and different name, and I think it's wonderful when mamas are willing to go out on a limb and choose an unusual name so her kid won't have 5 other kids at school with the same name. I think -sen rather than -son makes it more feminine...and I think it's a great name. But forget what anyone else says. Especially the oes who were offering you other anmes even though you specifically said you didn't want other suggestions. And the person that said McKenzie...HELLO...like that couldn't be a boy's name or surname as well. ANYWAY, sorry to ramble, but I like the name, and who cares if these people don't? She's your baby!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE NAME GRAYSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...actually, i am going to name my baby girl *cant decide which way to spell it tho!!!!!* Gracein/Grayson/Gracin/Greysen Ridge...I fell in love with Gracein because I WAS going to name my baby Grace, but my cousin beat me to it, so I thought GRACEIN was just as beautiful!! I fell in love with the name Ridge because I lived in a ritzy neighborhood and the name of the subdivision was Piper Ridge...and from there on out, I said I would name my daughter Gracein Ridge. Some people may think that Graysen/Gracein *which ever way* is a "masculine" name, but they should ask themselves is GRACE a "masculine" name...and the answer would be NO!!!...and yes, you could use the name Graysen as a boy's name, but now-a-days, people *like me* have very creative minds and like to stand out, and they name their babies' more-or-less different names...but you dont want to make your child to follow crowds, do u??? i dont, and thats y im naming my children very fun, creative, and different names!!....BUT FORGET WHAT OTHERS SAY AND NAME YOUR BABY GIRL GRAYSEN!!!!...i kno she's going to be beautiful with a name like that!!

I can't say I love it, but I support it--simply because some people think that it's a boy name. That's sexist nonsense.

The "-sen" instead of "-son" is a great choice for spelling. She will definitely be the only Graysen in her class, which can be both good and bad. It's hard to be completely unique, but certainly makes you memorable.

Consider adding in a traditionally feminine middle name to balance out the surname. It also gives her a more "girly" name to use if she gets older and hates Graysen.

Ok, no offense, but I don't even like Graysen for a boy. It's a surname, if anything.

I like it! Don't listen to these people who say it's too different. There is nothing wrong with different. It's worse to be in kindergarten with 6 other kids with the same name! And for the comments about teasing... My name is Sarena and they managed to tease me about that! It happens and it will happen no matter what your name is. As long as you don't go too extreme, you shouldn't worry about that.

Name her what you want. Help her be a unique personality and have fun!

Sorry, but I really don't like it. Too bad you're not open to other suggestions. I'm sure that we could think of some really good alternative names. By the way, what would you call her for short? Gray??
