My parents never did.
I feel very confortable showing emotion in public and in front of my kids..how else will they know what it takes to make a relationship. You don't love by ignoring the other person

my parents never did any of that in front of us. Not even much to us either. I am the same way I hug my spouse now and then but we never kiss not even peck. We leave that for the bedroom. We do say I love you not very often. I give my son as much affection as I can, I also do with my nieces and nephews. Plenty of hugs and kisses and I love you's to them. even the older ones 12 and 16.

I coach by occasion. acceptance is undemanding to tutor. yet there's a great line between instructing infants with regard to the the perfect option to have their very own opinion and elevating your self an excessively opinionated new child. i comprehend this because of the fact I quite have an excessively opinionated new child. Now, i does not have it any opposite direction, because of the fact i do no longer think in dominating infants with any ideals yet fairly encouraging loose theory with the aid of communication. i'm hoping that by being open to his suggestions and evaluations he will take heavily, take to heart, the failings that I do. appreciate begetting appreciate sort of ingredient. Like risk-free intercourse. So help me mom of pearl, my boy would comprehend extra effectual. All that being mentioned in spite of the shown fact that, if i ought to circulate back, there are some extra suitable issues i might have mentioned are absolutes..'because of the fact I mentioned so' sort of ingredient..in basic terms some..yet ya, he continues to be youthful yet. countless time to detect that stability between my observe being all understanding and him having the boldness to question even me.

Yes, and yes. I think it's important to show your kids as much of your relationship as you can within reason, even minor disagreements. This is where they will learn the right behavior for when they grow up and have their own relationships.

My parents did all the time and my hubby and I do, too. My hubby's parent's didn't so it took him a while to understand that it's a good thing. Our daughter says "ew" sometimes, but she usually wants to join in on the hugs.

No, that is just something that was never done when we were kids. Almost like it was taboo, or something. Although there are some things that people should not do in front of children, saying I love you is not one. =)
