I think the soul is the emergent quality that results from the conversation the brain has with the disparate parts of the body. We are very much like a party at which many conversations are going on simultaneously. The so called "buzz" of conversation. You don't really notice it until the conversation ceases abruptly. Then you hear that very loud, "sound of silence". Which in this case, would be death.

As to what happens to the soul after death, I always ask, "Where does your lap go when you stand up?" It is always there, but does not re-appear until you sit down again. The soul only exists as long as life exists and it won't re-appear until life is once more present.

well there is no difference between a live body and a dead one except that the soul has left the one that is dead- everything is there like heart, lungs etc. The soul is manifested as consciousness throughout the body- The Veda's say the soul is the size of one ten-thousand the tip of the hair (there isn't a tool that can measure that small I'm sure) and yet it's more brillant than the sun! And when the consciousness becomes evolved then the spiritual body (the soul) becomes manifest and there is no need of a tempory material body subject to birth and death. Pretty cool yea

They should be elementary and simple,

Science is the method for processing all the "WH" questions one's soul is infatuated with. When u speak of the soul u queston matters of existence, matters of resurrection, matters regarding causation of events, & matters of will & destiny. Science helps put souls to rest by delivering tranquility. Yet through science man can understand the philosophy of why we believe in God as we read about the intricate cellular structures we have & the universal balance & harmony we dwell in. Intellect is the domain of science, the soul is within the domain of spirituality & theology. Together they found & enhance the bases for belief & survival in this material world.
