if we r the true fans of our cricketers, then we must first stop blaming them. we must learn to be by their side during this time of crisis and try to boost their morale. every single human being suffers some lean patches during their lifetime.
we must stop the practice of 'cheering over victories and thrashing over defeat' kind of policy.
even our cricketers must be very upset about this match... and would be analysing what went wrong and why.
a mistake is a mistake only if we dont learn from it.
let us hope that they learn from their mistake... quickly.
finally, the team could have lost due to:
1. incorrect evaluation of the oppponents strength and weaknesses
and/or
2. burden of high expectations on them.

we have to blame to those who are responsible for the selection of the team. If anybody is continuously showing bad performance he should be dropped for some matches by giving the warning as it was done for Ganguly. Then they will have more responsiblities when they come back to the team. With the fame they acquired earlier should not be a criteria for the selection. The criteria should be based on their present performance.

Dravid is to be clearly blamed for the dismal performance against Bangladesh for resting players like Kumble/Pathan, bad decision to bat first, playing with complacency and over-confidence, no aggression shown in the field and not providing leadership from the front with bat or field.

What about the players who threw their wicket in between without scoring any runs? you have not mentioned any of their names.... Cricket is a team sport, can't just blame any one player they are collectively responsible for the win/loss...
It was pathetic to see india from 157 for 5 to 159 for 9. 4 wickets with just 2 runs added onto the score board!!! pathetic simply pathetic....

How you blame Ganguly and Yuvraj who have played really well 66 and 47 respectively. We have to blame Sehwag...
Uthappa...Sachin...Dravid and unfortunately Doni and Agarkar for our defeat against Bangladesh... and If you ask them I am sure they will blame the LUCK.!

Easy to blame the captain or the coach but its a team sport everyone should put in 100% into the game. I think the team thought it was going to be an easy win.

It was due to collective failure of the batsmen like Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag, Uthappa and M.S. Dhoni to perform to their potential. Even after the team was all out for 191 runs, they should have defended the total, in which the bowlers failed

Why must you blame someone? That sounds like a pretty poor attitude when you should be congratulating Bangladesh on one of their finer moments in a fledgling cricketing history.

actually according to me your options are not placed right. ganguly and yuvraj played well, theres no doubt about that. but your one more option should be the whole indian team, because no one played their game as we all indians are expected them to plzy well.

Bebu.if our indian women cricket team would play they would havedone better than the men.Any way not to blame any one for the first game of the world cup 2007,instead carry the same feeling that we INDIANS had won this same world cup years ago in 1987.hope for the best.THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL.JAI HIND.
