Your body tries to remain in a slightly alkaline condition and will excrete excess acid to remain in balance. Unfortunately, many of the foods that are consumed these days are extremely acid abd present our bodies with a greater challenge than necessary. You would have to drink 30 glasses of alkaline mineral water (not the fizzy type) to neutralise a single can of cola).
Most vegetables and some fruit are alkaline. Citrus fruit are an exception, they are acidic in nature but cause the body to become alkaline.
You do not have to worry about eating some acidic foods, it is the overall balance that is important.
Which foods....well I have seen several lists of food and each list seems slightly different in the classification of some foods. That could be a function of geographical location as soils in which are food is grown differ in pH value from one region to another. Just do a search for"alkaline/acidic diet" or "pH of our food and bodies" and you should get lots more information.

on Yahoo.com, search for "alkalizing food list." You'll find a ton of foods that you can take to neutralize your pH.
