Yes he should, he probably qualifies for the Earned Income Credit so he should get lots of money back (whatever was withheld for federal plus about $400 for the EIC.)

If he's in the US, he is only required to if $400 or more of that is from self-employment. Otherwise, he is not required to, but should if he had anything withheld for federal income taxes so he can get it refunded to him.

He is only eligible for earned income credit if he's between ages 25 and 64. If he's under 25, he's not eligible unless he has a qualifying child.

Yes!Always file your tax returns. He may even get a few bucks back depending on the tax bracket he is in. Because he is under $7200 (if in Canada) he has nothing to loose. But its best to keep those taxes up to date cause it will suck if the government decides to give him a hard time for it. My brother made the same mistake. Besides he may even qualify for GST.

Yes as long as you make 600.00 per year you must file he may also receive earned income credit and poverty level income that is if you earn less than 9999.99 per year weather you are single or not. Since he is a student i believe their is a credit for that as well. Check it out.

yep - guess he needs to take classes in economics

uh, yeah he should, he will get some money back, and it will let him know if he owes the IRS anything..........or he could just do nothing and wait and let them find him.
