I know dogweed is one

Me and my family would like to have a bonfire tonight but cannot find any dogweed to burn. Does anyone know any other natural skeeter repellents?

Avon has a product called skinsosoft which repels mosquitoes. Taking garlic also has been known to ward off those annoying offenders.
I find good articles on "About.com". You might look up natural mosquito repellents on that page.

Citronella works

But it does no good for large areas, it's good for about a three foot wide area, like a door way or window. I know that they sell those torches with citronella in them, but you'll need one every 4-5 feet around the yard to do any good.

I suggest buying a skin repellent, there are many on the market and come in lotion or spray. They even come in kids sensitive types.

Lemon grass is a natural repellent but I don't know if you need to burn it. Just take a few pots of it with you and place them around you.

I stay in South Carolina and we've numerous insects...roaches, gnats, flies, hornets, mosquitos, "no-see-ums"...numerous insects..and that i do not bear in options a unmarried mosquito in China. i'd not problem about it, yet in case you actually want one, basically get your reg malicious program repellent...

Drink vinegar, at least half a cup. Seriously. You'll sweat it out and the mosquitos don't like it.

Burns going down though. Chase it with milk or bread.

Try cedar. You can buy it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc... it comes in a spray bottle or you can purchase the mulch to sprinkle throughout you yard.
