Saudi Arabia is ruled by a very wealthy and authoritarian royal family is the only country in the world that bans women from driving. The women are driven around by hired chauffeurs and are required to be veiled in public. Asked what she would do if she was queen for a day, the princess responded, "First thing, I’d let women drive" Even King Abdullah has suggested that laws will be changed to women to drive and vote in the coming years. "In time, I believe it will be possible. And I believe patience is a virtue." She said in an interview.

Recent efforts to change the law have failed as conservatives and powerful clerics have opposed it.
The line of argument usually centers around concern for women driving in long stretches of desert and being exposed o risk from men. The law is only loosely respected in less suburban settings and altogether ignored in more rural areas as driving is more of a necessity.

I doubt very much this regime will be able to keep social progress outside its gates for much longer.

In all other arab countries women are "allowed" to drive as long as a male family member agrees with an unmarried woman driving. A married woman needs the permission of her husband.

Take care

it extremely is actual. a woman those days have been given ten lashes for driving a automobile in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia does it to for protection motives. -Conservatives argue if women are allowed to stress, they are going to be waiting to blend freely with men. -If a woman's automobile breaks down she'll be forced to have interplay with non-mahram men and ought to wind up being raped -women who stress are immoral sluts -women will use driving as an excuse to overlook their kinfolk No ask your self it extremely is between the very few safest and secured united states of america for all the international's women!! yet please comprehend that Islam does not oppresses the girls, yet uplifts and empowers her. each and every so often faith is abused to examine paternalistic ideals.

As they told you above, women drive in all arabic countries except for Saudi Arabia.

Yes of course, they drive all kind of cars, they ride horses, they bike, they are ordinary women, except in saudia arabia, not because of religion, but because of the traditions, hopfully change are going to change soon, because it's not fair, religiously speaking, it's better for a woman to drive her self then to be alone with a driver ;-)
