Everybody over the age of 25 knows Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody, Another one bites the dust, Fat Bottom girls, but the lead singer has been dead for over 20 yrs so a lot of people don't really think about them anymore.

Yep they rock, that's quite normal that people like "wtf?". They always ask me does that band still exist?? That singer is dead isn't it? That are merely the obvious questions people always ask me.
But I can only agree with you that Queen is an awesome band. If you want to meet people who think the same way about Queen;

Queen is a classic. Never to be duplicated. Freddie's voice is amazing. Brain May guitar work is out of this world.

Everyone my age and up (32) definitely knows who Queen is and I personally LOVE them.
