I've got a Ford Mondeo, Petrol, 2 litre engine. I get about 390 miles to a tank (about 11 gallons) if I'm on the motorway, but if I do loads of little journeys it drops to about 320.

Vauxhall Vectra 1.8LS petrol 440miles / £48 fills the tank not bad consumption. Also have Volvo 850 2.5 20v 170bhp £60 fill the tank 250miles max. Tend to use the Vectra most obviously

I drive a Ford Escort with a 1.8 litre engine. A full tank gets about 390 miles but it can't hold much petrol.

i have a Jeep Cherokee 2.5 turbodiesel , that does about 400 miles on a full tank if i'm careful, and 320ish if not. that has a 20 gallon (90l) tank, so 20 to the gallon, however i run it on veg oil (yes, i pay tax too) so its a little cheaper

It all depends on what they speed they were doing also. Like if they driving on the motorway and doing 100mph - then more fuel is being used.
